When you think of Microsoft you thin of Windows and that this is where all their money comes from. Well in fact Windows only makes up about 10% of their income revenue and only sits 4th on their list of revenue streams. Their biggest is their cloud databases. When you know this then this article makes a heap load of sense. This now means that Microsoft are heading for cross platform and cross device software from anything to everything. With their new version of Windows being universal in applications and devices it now allows them to start focusing on making all their apps available on all platforms and OS variants.
This is an exciting time.
