Baguettes, Birthday's, wriggly sleepers and family fun make the perfect weekend...

We had such a wonderful family gathering with my sister who has had her baby boy, Mark. We got a picture of the whole family and is looks so great to see everyone there. It is almost like a story telling of history.

On Friday night I made some Tropical Chicken Gourmet French sandwiches that were a lot of fun to make and the girls had great fun making cookies. It was Kim's Birthday which was really nice too.

Such a fun filled weekend.

DSTV Porn????

Dear Friends,

DSTV (satelite) are considering a Porn channel. There are so many things wrong in our country when it comes to women being abused and men abusing power. We only need to look at our president to see that it can produce a lot of problems. An entire channel of the stuff will create even more mayhem and destroy families along the way.

If you are not sure about that, then let me tell you that it nearly destroyed me and my marriage. I used to spend every waking moment of my day looking for another moment to see some more. I even stayed at home to make time for it. I started to treat my wife differently and we started arguing a lot more. Then I started to loose my job and eventually I got to the point were I just could not get enough.

4 years ago I made a choice to follow Jesus and every moment since then has been a battle against the images and visions that have been engrained into my mind. I have had to unlearn all this stuff and I have had to mentally focus my mind to keep my mind on the right things. Today my marriage is blossoming and my job is increasing exponentially. I even have debts being cleared for me, even though I wanted to pay them. I have two daughters and I am not the same man I used to be, thank God, all because I decided that Jesus could offer me a better life and He did.

I am asking you to help me fight against DSTV putting up a porn channel. Here is the article and the Survey you can fill out. Porn is a silent killer. It destroys minds quietly and the worst part is that not even the person viewing it realizes it. I can personally tell you that this is true.

Stand by me and help those who may be in the same situation I was in.

Stephenson 40th wedding anniversay. what an inspiration.

"a love 40 years young"

Those were the words on the presentation. It was a close gathering of family and friends. Everyone was very excited. The venue was really nice and the food was good. There was a presentation with a history of their lives in photos. It was absolutely AWESOME. We all wanted to know what their secret was.

It is so rare to find two people who are willing to grit their teeth and keep going through the tough times no matter what. He was an alcoholic for many years and now he is having his 40th wedding anniversary completely dry and loving it. There were many times when the average person today would just have quit, but my mother in law saw it through.

We need more people in this age who are prepared to take responsibility for their vows and live by what they say in them.

What a mighty inspiration.

Some pictures include the three daughters and some grand children who were there as well.

The new "babies" get their first bath. My dad's two new dogs get bathed in the bathtub... lol

Princess Joy! This was the sight I came home to today.

Two in the bed and the cute one said...

This weekend we had more fun than ever before. We had a braai with Grandpa, church with our young cousins, breakfast with our associate pastor and his family and we even had time to swim. Joy now knows how to fetch a coin from the pool floor. What a wonderful time this has been with my beautiful family, praise God.

Braai time with my girls. This is the best day in my life.

The day started with a surf with a good friend, followed by a trip to the beach with the family and brunch at the Lifesavers Club. The beach looked like a tropical island. We had a braai in the afternoon and ate dinner around Joy's toddler table. It was awesome, praise God.

Bill Gates new website is very interesting. It's almost like getting into his brain to see what is going on.

Bill Gate joined Facebook two days ago and in 8 hours he had 200,000 friends. Then  a couple of days later he announced his new website. Very clever Bill. Very clever in deed.

Me and the babes at the beach. Life truly does not get more blessed.

We took the two girls to the beach and enjoyed some family time. It was great, we even got to see some "fishies" in the water. Check out Faye's sun hat. Too cute for words. What a blessing.
