Watch the video. This is making robotics more appealing to home users. With this type of work it will build a more human interface and will add the value to consumers enjoying the work with the robots. Most times robotics has just been a robot that does certain functions, but here they have added some emotions and character to the robot that allow those normal functions to turn into a human fun.

It looks a lot like Wall-e but its actually real. This will be a model that may start a new era in robotics that can connect with humans more easily. Its awesome the way they have connected so many parts into such a small space. I would like to see how rugged this thing is.

Is your home router hacking the internet without your knowledge?

It sounds like a movie but the article below is about a small brick and mortar business that had a website with was being hit with 35000 http requests a second (called a denial of service attack) from a globally connecte4d set of CCTV cameras. When the security company came in to try and protect the system the attacks increased to 50 000 http requests per second. As it turns out these were all executed by a bunch of CCTV cameras operating the same server and software. these cameras were installed all over the world and using the standard installation.

Think about this for a second. A person or business owner decides to install his own CCTV cameras that are connected so they can vi3ew them on their phone. To do this the system will need a live connected unlimited bandwidth connection, and it will required an IP address that will allow the web to find that server from anywhere in the world. It will also set up this with limited or even no security to make the usage of the system as simple and easy as possible for the users. The problem here is that it also makes it easy for any hacker to use it as well to do their bidding. Hack on and install some basic software that they have created which will allow the hacker to run and command to execute any sort of command against anyone.

This may only be a small case but the glaring truth is that many people do not secure their home routers with some simple built in techniques to help protect their systems against this kind of use and abuse. I want to encourage all people who read this and who share this to learn how to secure any device connected to the internet. From a fridge to a watch, if it is connected in any way it can be a potential threat to other people. We all have a responsibility to other people to make sure that our own devices or system are at the least not affecting other people. Please secure your systems at home and around the office where you can, or get help to do so and you could help prevent this kind of attack on a poor unsuspecting business owner.

Our beginners ballroom class from 2015 brought us together…

What a wonderful year with Peta learning to dance. Tracey and I have now got our Advanced Ballroom certificates and are starting some advanced styling. We have been having so much fun. The amazing thing is that during it all we have grown closer in our relationship with each other through the dancing. I have learnt to lead and Tracey has learnt to allow me to lead. LOL.

We strongly recommend and urge everyone to at least do the beginners class and spend some time with your spouse getting up close and personal as you dance together.

Peta is an incredible instructor she even taught me to do a quick step! She breaks the steps down to simple to follow steps and builds on them as you grow and learn. The social dance sessions were extremely fun and valuable I would recommend them to anyone. It gave Tracey and I a chance to use our dancing and at the same time we had loads of fun meeting other couples also learning the same stuff.

There is a beginners class starting in the next couple of weeks, are you joining us?

Your Scarcest Resource @HarvardBiz

I have experienced these types of time wastages often and it is amazing how much it all adds up. This video just showed the knock on effect and how big the time waste really is. I love the 8 points here to effectively reduce wasted business time. Many people will probably read this and throw their hands in the air and say how must I implement this in my business I am only an employee the management must do this, but the truth is that anyone can start this not just in work but in life and relationships. these 8 points could be used anywhere in life.

How often do we spend time with people that are toxic and consume time that will never be productive?
How often do you spend time speaking to people about, well, be honest nothing?
How often do we spend time with friends that is just consuming time?
How often do we spend time with our spouses that is no producing anything?
How often do we just sit in front of TV with our spouses when we could be talking?
How often do we sit in front of TV and eat food instead of at a table and speak to family?
How often do we spend time on things that don’t produce anything?

Isaiah 55:2 asks “Why spend you hard-earned money on something that will not satisfy?”. This question has often run through my head and it is the same question I am asking now but in relation to time! Why spend you time on something on what will not satisfy?

@Telsa make a bid to buy SolaCity…

This is huge news if it comes to pass. Imagine an electric car with a good range and free powering up via the sun. This could well be a package deal that @Tesla could make for the future of clean energy in cars. Imagine if the same company that made the cars could make the solar panels that charge the cars. Better yet, imagine they also make UPs battery systems that run both residential and commercial environments. This would be a super smart move, but even more than this look at the advances @Tesla have made with the electric car and the power wall, imagine what they could do with Solar?

@Microsoft release a SharePoint app for iOS…

Its been a long time coming and rumours have finally been answered. iOS now has a SharePoint app that will soon also move over to Android as well. This is a big move as it helps users get into those collaborative business apps that normally require jumping through a lot of hoops before you get what you want. Here you don’t have to go through your browser or jump through all the hoops, its ready and right there.

Bono believes in Jesus?

It sounds weird but if you see the compassion that has grown in this mans heart you can see the love of God blooming. This article is a really good candid walk through the incredible life of a man who has been marred with challenges and difficulties. It is incredible to me that people in his position will get to the point where they will say openly that Jesus is the Son of God. We need more bold believers of Jesus Christ who don’t just talk the talk but also walk the walk as he has. We need people who are bold to love Jesus and who are bold to do the work He is calling us to do.

Can your vote compromise your faith?

Often times when we are faced with a choice we need to make sure we make the right choice, but sometimes we may not be aware of all the information before making the choice. Over the past few years I have noticed that a lot of believers have compromised their faith and voted for political parties that have stood against their beliefs and faith. Sometimes knowingly but more often than not unknowingly. Since our country is supposedly 70% Christian it surprises me that the current ruling parties in our country all have non biblical policies, which is a concern.

My message to you today is not to change your vote, but to ask you as a believer in the Lord to seriously consider what you are voting for. After having direct views of some of the behind the scenes work in many of these parties I am more convinced that we need to choose wisely. Below is a current updated guide that is food for thought and for the spirit.

I know the recent developments in politics makes many people just choose to not even vote, but if good people do nothing evil will prevail, so I am asking all Christians to vote and to vote in faith. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
